What to Expect from your Complimentary Design Consultation

Before We Meet
Preparation on Our End: We'll review any photos or project details you've shared and come prepared with relevant portfolio examples and material samples that match your style preferences.
What Helps Us Help You: Think about how you use your space, what frustrates you about your current setup, and gather any inspiration photos that catch your eye. Don't worry about having everything figured out - that's what we're here for.
During Your Consultation
Project Overview: We'll talk about what your project is about (is it a new build, remodel, something different?), the timeline, and what you’re hoping to achieve.
Lifestyle Discussion: We'll talk about how you cook, entertain, and live in your space. Understanding your daily routines helps us design solutions that truly work for your family.
Style Exploration: We'll review your aesthetic preferences, show you material samples, and discuss options that fit both your vision and your budget range.
Preliminary Ideas: You'll leave with initial concepts and a clear understanding of what's possible within your space and budget parameters.

After Your Consultation
Project Proposal: We’ll create an initial design based on our consultation You’ll receive a written summary of what we discussed, including preliminary designs and pricing.
Revisions: It is rare that we have a perfect match with the first design, so we want to your feedback on what to change; what you like and don’t like.
Partial Down Payment: We typically create 2-3 complimentary design revisions, then request the partial down payment, generally 25% of the estimated cabinetry total. That doesn’t mean we need to have everything figured out perfectly yet; we’ll continue to revise the design until you are thrilled about your new cabinetry! The partial down payment helps us know that you are committed to the project as we work hard on additional redesigns and all of the tiny and important details that go into every cabinetry project.
No Pressure Approach: We believe the right fit benefits everyone. You'll have whatever time you need to consider your options without any sales pressure.
Measurements:
Boots on the Ground: The timing of when we get on-site measurements can vary depending on the type of project. A new build likely can’t be measured for some time - but we can still get started on the design so everything is ready for a final minor revision when your home is ready for measurements (at a minimum, the space needs to be framed in). Whereas a remodel might be ready for measurements right away. We'll carefully measure your space and assess the existing conditions, discussing any structural or utility considerations or opportunities we notice.
Follow-Up: We'll check in regularly to answer any additional questions and discuss open items.
Ordering:
The Final Design: We made it! It takes a lot of time and effort to get a cabinet project to the final design, but that is our specialty. Of course, there is still a lot left to do. At this point, we ask for the remainder of the deposit due and place orders with all of the different suppliers that make up your project. This can be cabinetry, of course, but also lighting, hardware, counters, pull-outs and organizers, and anything else we’ve dreamed up together.
Delivery & Installation: Our Logistics Manager will handle the aspects of planning your delivery and installation (if using one of our installers). We will bring the boxed cabinets into the room of your choice within a 2-hour window. All you have to do is keep an eye out for our beautiful Animas Kitchen & Bath Box Truck!
Warranty & Follow-Up: We stand by our service and our products and will address any issues that may arise. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
