Frequently Asked Questions
What types of cabinetry do you offer?
We work primarily with 6 quality, US cabinet manufacturers to provide options from budget-friendly to high-end custom solutions. Whether you're looking for stock cabinets for a quick refresh or fully custom designs for your dream kitchen, we have options to fit every budget and style preference.
How long does a typical project take?
Most projects take 3-4 months from initial consultation to completion. This includes design development, manufacturing time, and professional installation. Most of our manufacturers have lead times of 6-8 weeks from when we place the order for your custom-designed cabinetry to delivery. We offer some limited budget lines that can shorten that lead time to about 2 weeks. We'll provide a detailed timeline during your consultation based on your specific project scope.
Do you handle the entire process from design to installation?
Absolutely! We manage every aspect of your project - from initial design and material selection to coordinating delivery and professional installation. Our team handles logistics, scheduling, and quality control so you can focus on enjoying the process. If you or your contractor/builder would prefer to do the install, we accommodate that as well.
What's included in your warranty?
We take issues such as damage, missing components, problems with finishes, or improperly functioning cabinets very seriously. We work directly with the manufacturers to ensure any manufacturing defects or shipping damage are resolved quickly and professionally. And, of course, we stand behind our own design services to correct any issues, should they arise.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! We provide complimentary consultations to discuss your vision, assess your space, and explore options that fit your budget and timeline. We may charge a measurement fee between $250 and $350 when we travel for onsite measurements, but this is considered a deposit and is deducted from your total project cost when our services are contracted. While the design process often requires many versions before your perfect cabinetry project is ready to order, we may request a partial cabinetry deposit after the second or third design revision depending on the size of your project - our designers are highly talented and trained individuals and we value their time and effort.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve Durango and the surrounding Four Corners region, bringing quality cabinetry solutions to homes throughout Southwest Colorado. We do most of our work in Durango, Pagosa Springs, Silverton, Telluride, Bayfield, Cortez, Dolores, Mancos, and places in between.
Can you work with my contractor or designer?
Definitely! We collaborate seamlessly with contractors, designers, builders, and architects. Our team coordinates timing and specifications to ensure your project runs smoothly from start to finish. And if you want or need a reference for any of these professionals or other skilled trades, we are happy to connect with our recommendations.
What if I need help choosing finishes and hardware?
That’s a big part of what we’re here for. Our experienced sales and design team will guide you through all selections - from cabinet finishes to hardware options, storage organizers, and countertop pairings. We make the decision process enjoyable and stress-free.
Do you have a “shop dog?”
It’s Durango, so of course we do! He is a wonderful showroom dog named Tico, who lives with one of our designers, Jay. Tico loves selling cabinets and loves people even more. He’s likely to sing when you come in - that’s just his way of saying hello. We’re pretty sure you’ll love him, but if you have any concerns, Tico is happy to go to his office - ahem - crate.
